About us
Horticulture enterprise I.P. Kosowscy established by Stanisław Kosowski, exists continuously since 1948. At the beginnings of activity of the enterprise a vegetable output was a dominant one, over time cultivation of flowers begun. Nursery cultivation was started in 1968 by Piotr Kosowski. In 1985, at the initiative of Izabela Kosowska, a tissue culture laboratory was created. Gradually, breeding of varieties of gerbera jamesonii begun, which continues to this day. Since 2000, from the initiative of Anna Kosowska-Bilska a department of cultivation of ornamental varieties was modernized, which allowed us to add orchids of the Phalaenopsis variety to our offer. We hope that intensive cultivation activities will let us provide you with a new and even better offer of ornamental varieties in years to come.
Our work
All plants in our enterprise are produced by us from the beginning, all the way to the final product.
This multistage-ness of the process gives us the possibility to control the quality at every stage, but requires broad experience and vast knowledge.
The quality of our plants is also subject to regular supervision of Main Inspectorate of Plant Health and Seed Inspection.
Yew trees from our nursery are not only decorations of private residences, but also public institutions, including orphanages or nursing homes, for which they were are a gift. Advantages of yew trees were appreciated as early as in the 15th century and since that time, as granted by the Statute of Warta signed by the king Władysław Jagiełło in 1423, the English Yew is a protected species. Therefore we strongly encourage you to gain more knowledge about this remarkable plant.
